At the January Dynamic Dialogs meeting, we posed a question that sparked a powerful discussion:
“Who do you want to attract into your life moving forward? What qualities do they have?”
Universal orders were put in, and the energy in the room was electric! The enthusiasm and clarity shared by everyone inspired me deeply.
But as I reflected on my own answer, I realized an important truth: I could be even more specific.
This concept mirrors something we often encounter in networking. When asked to identify our target market, ideal client, or client avatar, we typically provide a broad description. But what if we refined our vision? What if we trusted that the universe is ready to deliver exactly what we ask for, provided we’re clear and intentional?
Let me show you what I mean by sharing how I’ve deepened my own “ask.”
How I Used to Answer This Question:
- I’m looking to attract intentional business owners.
- Or those curious about what living a life with intention means.
- Or those curious about being a leader of a conscious business.
This is a good start, but it’s vague. It opens the door to many possibilities, some of which may not align with my core vision. In previous years, I continued to have a full calendar in many months but not with people who wanted to actively engage with all of CBC’s incredible offerings.
Deepening My Ask of the Universe
Here’s how I’ve refined my intentions to be more specific, thoughtful, and aligned:
- People who are ready to act on their curiosity and commit to being and doing better for themselves, their families, and their communities.
- People who are ready to invest in both their business and spiritual development.
- People who act with integrity, kindness, and an open heart.
- People who want to collaborate and are determined to follow through on their commitments.
- People who respect my time, quality of work, and the effort I’ve invested in myself and Conscious Business Connections.
- People committed to learning how to support others and doing so from a place of abundance when their cup is full.
- People who want to explore the energetics of business, alongside its practical aspects.
Why Specificity Matters
When we’re unclear in our intentions, the universe might deliver results that are close—but not quite what we desire. It’s like ordering a meal at a restaurant without specifying your preferences. You might get something you can work with, but wouldn’t you rather receive exactly what you wanted?
It’s magical that my health and nutrition journey exactly mirrors this for me as well. Before my illness, I was able to anything and everything. In fact, I nicknames myself “mapache,” which is the Spanish word for Racoon because I would happily finish up everyone’s plates. With extensive gut healing I’ve needed, now my diet is extremely limited. This was difficult at first, but it has only optimized so many ways I am feeling and living these days. I am so grateful for the lesson.
By being specific, we align our energy with the opportunities, relationships, and outcomes that truly serve our purpose. It’s not about being controlling; it’s about being intentional.
Your Turn
Take a moment to reflect on your own “asks.” Whether it’s for business, relationships, or personal growth, how can you refine your vision to be clearer?
What qualities do you want in the people, experiences, or opportunities you’re attracting? And most importantly, are you ready to act when the universe delivers?
Let’s take this practice to heart and elevate our intentions together. After all, the universe is always listening—it’s up to us to place the right order.
